When he is leaving, a eagle flies over him with a goose in its talons and they think it means that Odysseus is returning home and is going to seek revenge on the suitors. Once at Pylos, when the ship is about to leave, Theoclymenus asks if he can come on their ship and Telemachus welcomes him.
